Ghost unlike trackers, does not emit radio frequency signals and can't be detected by diagnostic tools. Ghost doesn't have LED indicators or buttons to signal its presence in your van or car.
Anti-key Cloning
The ghost immobiliser has been created to fight key cloning and hacking. This device connects to the CAN data network of your vehicle and generates an unique pin code push sequence using the factory buttons on your dashboard and the steering wheel. This will stop the thief from being able start your vehicle. If the incorrect PIN code is entered, the engine will not be started which makes it impossible for them to leave with your joy and pride.
A ghost immobiliser uses an innovative technology that is very difficult for thieves to defeat. Contrary to physical deterrents, such as wheel locks and steering locks which can be cut or taken the ghost immobiliser is a discrete electronic device that isn't easily detected by regular thieves since it doesn't emit radio signals and works silently.

OBD port hacking
OBD port hacking has become the most recent method employed by professional car thieves. Thieves have access to your vehicle's OBD with an laptop, mobile application, and cables that can be purchased on the internet for less than PS50. Once they have access, they will be able to do whatever they want, from resetting your vehicle's fault codes to tuning your car, or even stealing it in under a minute.

You will also need a cable with OBD pins that connect to the CAN bus, these can be purchased on Amazon or Ebay for about PS50. Ghost 2 immobiliser has to be spliced into the wiring harness of your car, for example the radio wiring harness.
Once the hacker has access to the OBD port on your vehicle, they are able to send diagnostics to the system using high baud rates that will cause a crash of the car's CAN and stop the system from functioning. This can cause the engine to stop, doors to lock and even the brakes to activate.
